Rocket EMS Receives Funding to Accelerate Growth
October 21, 2016 | Rocket EMSEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Rocket EMS, an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company specializing in new product introduction (NPI) and production services to fast-growth, high-technology companies, has obtained growth financing to fund its expansion. InSite Partners led the investment round with participation from new investors. This investment will help the company expand its sales and marketing efforts as well as broaden its service offerings for production customers. InSite Partners Jo Major and Marla Sanchez have both joined Rocket’s Board of Directors. Sanchez is the CEO of Rocket EMS.
InSite Partners specializes in helping promising technology companies grow and thrive, through direct investment and hands-on work within the companies.
This financing builds on Rocket’s already unique position of being a high value manufacturer of complex boards in the Silicon Valley area and already having a roster of marquee customers. Rocket has also developed a state of the art proprietary manufacturing information tracking system that integrates with standard ERP systems. This allows Rocket to provide additional information and reports to its customers providing them with valuable insight as to how to improve their processes and throughput to reduce costs.
Michael Kottke, the founder of Rocket, commented, “We’ve worked hard to build an excellent infrastructure for the development of complex electronic products. The infusion of this capital allows us to take the company to an entirely different level in terms of production equipment and capability.”
“Rocket’s financing is well-timed to provide its existing customers better service and throughput and to expand its growing base of production volume customers while still maintaining its strength in NPI builds with quick turn-around,” said Jo Major, General Partner of InSite Partners. “We believe that many customers will understand and seek the many advantages of having their contract manufacturing in the United States.”
Rocket is a full service partner, delivering ultra-quick-turn (24 – 48 hours) manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), layout and complementary value-add services.
"Rocket’s unique mix of Layout capabilities, NPI tools, both hardware equipment sets and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) software tools and talent, allow it to quickly and seamlessly help companies take their initial product ideas from design to full-scale production,” said Marla Sanchez, CEO of Rocket EMS.
