DFI Earns IPC Qualified Manufacturer Listing Certification
December 14, 2016 | IPCEstimated reading time: 1 minute
IPC's Validation Services Program has awarded an IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) to DFI Inc., a supplier of industrial computer embedded solutions based in Taipei, Taiwan. To earn the QML, DFI successfully completed an intensive audit based on two of IPC's foremost standards: IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies; and IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
DFI met or exceeded the requirements for the electronics industry's most rigorous classification, Class 3, which is intended for high-performance electronics assemblies. As a result, the company is now listed as an IPC-trusted source capable of manufacturing in accordance with industry best practices. DFI and other trusted sources of supply can be found on IPC's QML/QPL (Qualified Product Listing) database, click here.
"We are honored to be the first company in Taiwan who provides embedded computing solutions certified under the IPC QML Validation program," said Oskar Wu, DFI's senior manager, product planning division. "This certification not only recognizes our professional competence, but also represents our commitment on providing quality products and services to our customers."
IPC QML/QPL validation is a program based on IPC standards, which provides validation and certification of product quality and production technology for companies in the electronic industry supply chain.
"Different from other audit programs, IPC's Validation Services Programs uniquely provides technical and in-depth assessments of products and processes in accordance with IPC standards," said Randy Cherry, IPC director of Validation Services. "We are pleased to recognize DFI Inc. as the first company in Taiwan to become a member of IPC's network of trusted QML suppliers."
