MicroCare Expands EU Facilities to Meet Growing Demand
May 4, 2017 | MicroCare Corp.Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
In response to the increasing demand for its critical cleaning, coating and lubrication products, MicroCare Europe bvba has expanded its facilities in Belgium to provide the additional capacity required for its business growth.
The new 350 sqm (3,500 sq. ft.) facility is close to Brussels which means it is ideally located to better serve the growing base of customers in industries such as electronics, precision cleaning and fiber optics. The increased logistical space will be dedicated specifically to meet the increased demand for the European marketplace.
"We are all very excited about the opening of the new warehouse in Belgium. This expansion reflects our growth and our position as the market leader in cost-effective and environmentally-progressive critical cleaning products," said Scott Wells, MicroCare General Manager – Europe.
The warehouse expansion will aid MicroCare in serving European customers from one large, efficient and centralised unit. With the new warehouse on-line, the growth and distribution of MicroCare products to customers throughout Europe can be supported more efficiently and with shorter lead-times. The new facility also offers exceptional security features and separated handling of in-bound and out-bound goods, delivering efficiencies.
"We simply had outgrown our previous building, making us less efficient and minimizing our goal of delivering great customer service," added Wells. "The new premises give us both increased efficiency and gives us the flexibility to expand further even more. Customers will notice the difference."
As companies understand the benefits and complexities of critical cleaning, such as the need for "greener" products, MicroCare Europe has seen rapid growth in the customer base across Europe and around the world. This new facility is just one example of the numerous changes MicroCare is making globally to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the technology and ahead of customer requirements. Specifically, this expansion coincides with the opening of the two new facilities in the United States. Most recently, a state-of-the-art 1,500 sqm (15,000 sq. ft.) manufacturing space was inaugurated at MicroCare in New Britain, Connecticut, USA. This additional space includes a manufacturing space, a QC lab, offices and a small logistics area. That facility is already working with two shifts of workers every day. Additionally, MicroCare recently added a 10,000 sqm (100,000 sq. ft.) global logistics center in the same area.
But the growth at MicroCare is global. MicroCare Asia, the subsidiary serving China and the Pacific rim, has just completed expansion of the distribution center in Singapore. This growth was driven by enhanced customer demand in Southeast Asia as well as the Middle East.
