Cogiscan and Universal Instruments Announce Strategic Partnership
February 28, 2018 | Cogiscan Inc.Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Cogiscan Inc. has signed an OEM reselling agreement with Universal Instruments to expand their portfolio of manufacturing solutions. Universal Instruments is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced automation and assembly equipment solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry.
Mr. Glenn Farris, Vice President of Marketing at Universal Instruments commented on this announcement: “A key element of our Industry 4.0 strategy is to clearly define what core competencies we want to keep developing in house, and where it makes more sense to partner with other industry leaders to complement our own solutions. Some of our customers expect a single source for complete manufacturing lines, including the different machines and the software to connect everything together. In addition, Industry 4.0 has significantly raised the bar of customer expectations for smart manufacturing. Moving forward, the key to success is collaboration and integration between best-of-breed technologies. Our past experience with Cogiscan has demonstrated that we can count on them to deliver reliable technology and outstanding customer support.”
Mitch DeCaire, Global Director – Equipment Partnerships at Cogiscan, stated: “This is a very significant milestone in our long history of collaboration with Universal. The fact that they now integrate Cogiscan technology in their own product portfolio means that we have to always match the highest level of quality and responsiveness that their customers have come to expect. We take that responsibility very seriously.”
