Successful KWA Open House for optical control Americas
March 22, 2019 | optical controlEstimated reading time: 1 minute
The component equipment company optical control Americas is pleased to announce its recent participation at another successful KWA (Kurt Whitlock Associates) three-day open house. As with all co-events with KWA, it was a huge success. The latest event focused on inventory control, particularly the OC-SCAN CCX CCX.3 automated component counter from optical control.
Eight local Florida EMS companies came to see the CCX counter. “At optical control, we always invite visitors to bring their own components, trays, cut tape, etc. for a true on-the-spot test with no preparation,” stated Todd O’Neil, VP of Business Development at optical control. “We are extremely confident in the capability of our machines, so having customers show up with their own parts for testing is not an issue. This type of event can give an accurate glimpse of the real potential for cost savings and how to improve their entire inventory process, ultimately resulting in keeping their SMT lines running with fewer interruptions.”
Cassandra Diaz, COO of KWA stated: “For 40 years we have always partnered with the best companies and optical control is no exception. Their focus on a single market, i.e. counting components, is a huge advantage for them. All of their time and energy, as well as R&D goes directly into their product, and it shows. Anytime we show their machine, the reception is truly incredible, and the feedback is always 100 percent positive.”
Through its 12,400 square-foot facility in St. Cloud, Florida, KWA markets, distributes and demonstrates selected industry-leading technologies and process solutions. KWA’s full-service facility is one of the few of its kind in the US electronics industry. “Kurt Whitlock Associates charter in the Florida electronics market has always been to represent and distribute the absolute best solution for each step in the electronic assembly process,” Michael Holleran, owner of Kurt Whitlock Associates, commented. “optical control’s advanced technology has assured that this 40-year tradition continues.”
