Chassels will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the company and play a major role in developing and delivering upon corporate vision, with a focus on increasing operational efficiency, reaching new customers and driving overall growth.
“It is a pleasure to be able to welcome Alex Chassels to our team,” said Mark Pillon, P. Eng., president and CEO of Dorigo Systems. “Dorigo is currently focused on expanding our capabilities, and we are excited to have found the right person to oversee operations at this crucial moment. We know that Alex, with his proven track record of industry success and deep-rooted passion for company culture, will help usher in an era of even greater productivity and success for Dorigo.”
In addition to providing strategic leadership to Dorigo’s staff, Chassels will also oversee the company’s transition into a custom-built corporate campus measuring over 105,000 square feet. The new building will rank among the most sophisticated electronics manufacturing facilities in the country and will allow Dorigo to provide customers even greater speed, quality assurance and on-time-delivery.
“I am inspired to be joining such a talented, entrepreneurial-minded company that is clearly focused on the customer and providing a valued experience,” said Chassels. “It’s an exciting opportunity to make an impact and support Dorigo’s next stage of growth.”
Chassels joins Dorigo with over 20 years of experience growing technology product companies through strategic design, modernization and cultural transformation. Since moving to British Columbia 15 years ago, Chassels has been an active member of the technology community, working first for Creo, Kodak, and more recently for Alpha Technologies, where he served as the Vice President of Operations. At Alpha, he drove systemic improvements and innovations to enhance customer service levels and shareholder value, and played a pivotal role in meeting aggressive goals for production throughput, employee performance, and company profitability.
