LITEON Technology January Sales Up 39% YoY
February 17, 2021 | LITEON TechnologyEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
LITEON Technology has reported January consolidated revenue of NT$ 14.08 billion ($502.86 million at $1:NT$28.00), up by 6% month-on-month and by 39% year-on-year. The company attributes this to the stable demand from its core business.
In particular, the Opto-electronics business segment, which accounts for 20% of total sales, registered a 20% YoY growth, driven by the continually rising demand for LED components used in industrial automation, 5G and AIoT applications; UV LEDs applied to medical, disinfection, water and air purification applications; and in LED vehicle lighting.
The Information Technology & Intelligent Peripherals business, which accounts for 55% of LITEON’s total sales, grew by over 20% for the period, mainly attributed to the continued strong demand from notebook PC adapters, ongoing market share gains in IT keyboards and mice, as well as smooth delivery of laser models of multi-function peripherals.
Finally, the Cloud & AIoT business segment, which contributes 25% share of the company’s total sales, posted a 30% YoY growth amid rising demand for high-end server and networking power management systems for cloud computing, power supplies for AI smart home devices, and high-end sever enclosures.
