Computrol Appoints Process Engineer with 30 Years’ Experience

Computrol, Inc., a world-class provider of mid- to low-volume, high-mix electronic manufacturing services to OEMs, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Fric to Process Engineer. Fric is an engineering professional with hands-on experience with a variety of product development and assembly manufacturing processes and concepts.
“We are excited to get someone with Michael’s experience in the industry and he is a great addition to the team,” stated James Spencer, Engineering Manager. “We’ve already benefited from his knowledge and made changes in some of our manufacturing processes. He will be a great asset and is already having an impact.”
Fric brings years of successful process solving in the manufacturability of printed circuit boards, processing semiconductors, solar panel and LED industries. He has strong electro/mechanical analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and its application in manufacturing. He has experience with DOE (Design of Experiments) and DFMA (Design for Mfg & Assembly).
At Computrol, Fric will assist in integrating new products into production through manufacturing process design and flow. He will develop facility layouts, line design, process and material flows, and tooling design. Additionally, he will develop and maintain other manufacturing methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
Fric’s professional affiliations include SMTA, Boise Kickstand Innovation Group, Association of Semiconductor Equipment Engineers and Photovoltaic Solar Cell Manufacturing.
Computrol continues to build on its core services and capabilities by investing in versatile, high-speed manufacturing equipment and technology, as well as continuing training programs for employees.
