In our recent survey on assembly training and education, another question we asked is about the importance of training to your organization.

Around 85% of our respondents consider training really important to their workforce. In fact, the majority of respondents—47%—say it is very important. Such training could be on-the-job training, formal in-house training, training through third parties, and training by their suppliers.

Most training are done in-house, and on the job. In terms of outside or third-party training, they include through conferences and symposiums, as well as IPC certification courses.

To know more about the results of our survey, look out for the upcoming issue of SMT Magazine.

Recently, he shared with me the details of his school science fair project, “Kite: Powering the Future,” which solved a problem that he faced. Global Political Turmoil Creating Uncertainties for the Industry

11/20/2019 | Chris Mitchell, IPC Vice President of Global Government Relations
From where I sit, representing the interests of electronics manufacturers and related companies around the world, I regret to say that the future of our industry—while bright overall—is fraught with uncertainties, from trade policy disputes to government leadership turnovers and economic and social megatrends. IPC is working with all governments and parties to overcome these uncertainties, but there is a lot to tackle.
