EMS firm Cirtronics Corp. has selected Nordson DAGE for its Quadra 5 flexible X-ray inspection solution. Nordson DAGE is a division of Nordson Corporation.

"We're excited to add the Quadra 5 to our manufacturing inspection capabilities. Adding the Quadra 5 provides us with additional flexibility in selecting the optimum inspection method to meet each customer’s requirements. This is part of our Precision Engagement approach where we tailor everything we do to the needs of each customer," says David Patterson, Chief Operating Officer at Cirtronics.

With the new Nordson DAGE Quadra 5, Cirtronics will benefit from industry-leading core technology, high performance and ease of use for 2D and 3D X-ray applications. 0.35μm feature recognition up to 10W of power, makes the Quadra 5 the leading choice for printed circuit board and semiconductor package inspection. Key features include:

  • < 0.35µm (350nm) Feature Recognition up to 20W Tube power
  • Aspire FP 3 MP @ 25fps with 50µm pixel pitch
  • Total Magnification 45,000X
  • 24" Full HD WUXGA 1920 x 1200 Primary LED monitor

Patterson continues, “Cirtronics uses X-ray inspection as a process monitor and indicator in our SMT assembly operations. Moving from our current 2D platform to the Nordson DAGE Quadra 5 considerably raises the bar for us. The Quadra will help us increase throughput with its advanced feature detection and allows the operator to quickly focus on results.”
