Jabil’s Geoffrey Doyle to Keynote SMTA Capital Chapter Expo and Tech Forum

The SMTA Capital Chapter has announced that Geoffrey Doyle of Jabil Inc. will be the keynote speaker for the upcoming Capital Expo and Tech Forum at Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Lab, Kossiakoff Center, on August 23.

Doyle will describe the challenges of Industry 4.0 and highlight advanced manufacturing solutions that can help companies rise to meet such challenges. Topics include digital transformations, 3D printing for production parts, leveraging data to assist with distributed manufacturing, and much more.

Doyle is the director of business development for Jabil Additive, the additive manufacturing business of Jabil. Prior to joining Jabil, he was president of FIT West Corp., a fully owned subsidiary of specialist additive manufacturing company FIT AG. Starting his career in the British Army (Royal Engineers), he transitioned into venture capital and worked at Percipient Capital in London for over 10 years investing in UK technology companies. After moving to Silicon Valley in 2012, he founded Growshapes LLC, the leading 3D printing and 3D scanning VAR in Silicon Valley (DAVID/HP 3D Scanner, netfabb/Autodesk). He also established Silicon Valley Forum's 3D Printing and Scanning forum in 2012, the first monthly forum of its kind in Silicon Valley. He holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Manchester (UK), an MBA from Manchester Business School (UK) and graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

The SMTA Capital Expo and Tech Forum will be held at Johns Hopkins University / Applied Physics Lab, Kossiakoff Center, 11100 Johns Hopkins Road, Laurel, Maryland 20723. Registration opens at 7:30 AM and includes a complimentary lunch on the show floor.  Exhibits are open from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM and the first technical presentation will start at 8:30 AM.
