Thermaltronics Replacement Tips Provide Cost Savings

Reading time ( words)

Hakko, a Japanese based company, which previously focused on conventional soldering irons using thermocouples to control temperature, has recently introduced a range of induction heating tips, designated for the FX-100 series. While such manufacturing processes are challenging to other companies, Thermaltronics is already one step ahead.

Replacement tips for conventional soldering irons which typically use ceramic heating elements are fairly easy to produce and as a consequence, it has spurned a myriad of alternative suppliers, both domestically and overseas.

However, hand soldering systems, which incorporate the unique "Curie Point" Technology, have tip designs which are difficult to replicate, without in depth understanding of the manufacturing process and years of experience in selecting critical component parts.

Thermaltronics is a specialist in induction heating technology and has many years of experience in manufacturing high quality tip cartridges. As a result, Thermaltronics' H Series replacement tips can be used for the Hakko FX-100 series.

In addition, in order to mitigate the likelihood of oxidization in high humidity environments, Thermaltronics has added silver plating to the connector of the cartridge.
