Creative Materials Introduces GPC-251/CA-414

Reading time ( words)

Creative Materials introduces GPC-251/CA-414, a room temperature curing, twocomponent electrically conductive epoxy adhesive for making electrical and mechanical attachments on electrical components and devices. This new product, unlike others of its kind, has excellent electrical and mechanical properties and is less sensitive to handling under ambient conditions. In addition, GPC-251/CA-414 offers lower mixed viscosity than other versions. The CA-414 curing component allows for maximum tensile strength and offers longer pot life than previous versions. GPC-251/CA-414 is available in convenient pre-measured bi-packs as well as in bulk containers.

Typical performance includes: volume resistivity between 0.005 and 0.0002 Ω-cm, depending upon cure temperature, tensile strength 11,200 psi and thermal conductivity 6.74 W/mK.

Creative Materials designs, develops, and custom manufactures specialty electronic inks and adhesives. The company holds both ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications. All products are manufactured in the USA.

Advice to the Learner

05/03/2023 | Barry Matties, I-Connect007
Barry Matties chats with both Dale Lee and Alexander Noggle, a college student attending SMTA Houston Expo & Tech Forum, about the need to listen to the past but keep an eye on the future, especially when it comes to understanding technology. For now, Dale says, get out and gain as much industry experience as possible.

Why the EMS Leadership Summit Matters

04/26/2023 | Mark Wolfe, IPC
When I first entered the electronic manufacturing services (EMS) industry in 1989, I had some engineering experience, but zero knowledge as to how to manufacture anything. At that point, I didn’t realize how little I understood about the real, yet alone subtle, differences between an EMS company and OEMs. A colleague of mine suggested I contact IPC to see what resources they had available. The recommendation: Join an upcoming meeting of senior EMS industry leaders, known as the EMS Management Council. I attended my first EMS management meeting that year and started participating on the EMS Council Steering Committee shortly after. That initial experience has drawn me back yearly for over three decades.

STEM Program: Evolving and Growing

01/16/2023 | Charlene Gunter du Plessis, IPC Education Foundation
IPC has a responsibility to its current members but also in attracting and retaining new talent to the electronics manufacturing industry. This is no more evident than in the STEM event hosted by the IPC Education Foundation at IPC APEX EXPO. For the 2023 event, more than 500 students from nearly a dozen high schools are expected to participate in hands-on activities, touring the show floor, and learning from industry experts. The Career Panel Luncheon will expand across the in-person event as we broadcast and stream to schools across the United States.
