I-Connect007 Research: How Do You Think 5G Will Impact the Electronics Manufacturing Industry?

Reading time ( words)

In a recent I-Connect007 survey on 5G, we asked the following question: How do you think 5G will impact the electronics manufacturing industry? Here are a few of the answers, edited slightly for clarity:

  1. 5G will stimulate development in the electronics industry.
  2. Slowly. You need smart factories first.
  3. It’s already driving the requirements for higher speed, low loss laminates for the circuit boards.
  4. New manufacturing platforms, and more training.
  5. Positively, but, slow to occur!
