UAE to Get Auto Safety Tech from Israel-Based Mobileye

Israel-based Mobileye, an Intel company, and United Arab Emirates-based Al Habtoor Group, announced a strategic collaboration to propel deployment of autonomous vehicles and mobility services in Dubai, UAE. The agreement between companies based in Israel and the UAE was made possible by the historic Abraham Accords signed this month. The collaboration includes multiple components including mapping technologies for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), self-driving vehicles and smart city solutions.

The agreement between the companies signals a long-term cooperation for the deployment of driverless mobility solutions in Dubai based on Mobileye’s autonomous vehicle (AV) technology. Mobileye-equipped vehicles will begin harvesting data for insights and map creation to make these services possible.
