Libra Industries Appoints Sam Reed to Director of Cleveland Operations

Libra Industries, a privately-held systems integration and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, is pleased to announce that it has hired Sam Reed as Director of Operations for its Cleveland location. Reed is responsible for the location’s financial and operational execution across all functional areas, as well as positioning his team for growth.
Reed brings eight years of experience in electronic production management and process improvement. His previous roles include Production Manager at Co-Ax Technology and Manufacturing Technology Supervisor at Rockwell Automation. Prior to manufacturing, Reed was privileged to serve in the US Navy for 24 years and retired as a Captain. His operational leadership roles include Carrier Pilot, Squadron Commander, USS RONALD REAGAN Navigator, Instructor Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance Officer, Detachment Officer in Charge and Safety Officer.
Reed has served in several staff and planning roles on the Naval Operations Staff (Pentagon), US Transportation Command (Scott Air Force Base), and US Central Command (Camp Arifjan, Kuwait). In each role, he has become an expert team builder to accomplish mission objectives in a combat zone or help a company exceed customer needs during a pandemic. Reed earned a B.A. in History from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and a M.A. in Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. He has served as a Manufacturing Operational Excellence course facilitator and as an internal ISO 9001 auditor as well as qualifying as a Yellow Belt.
