Mek (Marantz Electronics), a leading manufacturer of automated optical inspection (AOI) systems, has announced an extension of their network for direct sales in Poland with the appointment of Karol Sowa as their agent. Poland is one of Mek's largest markets, with a large installed base of AOI machines, and the move to direct sales and support is expected to benefit customers with faster response times and enhanced communication. The new arrangement officially started on April 1, 2023.

Karol Sowa brings extensive experience and technical knowledge to the table. He has a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and previously worked for a distribution company and two machinery manufacturers. Karol Sowa also runs his own company, Sowa Electronics, which is an authorized distributor of the British company Pillarhouse International in Poland and the countries of Eastern Europe. In his new role with Mek, Karol Sowa will be responsible for providing technical sales, and service to existing and future customers and promoting MEK and its products at exhibitions and seminars.

As a leading innovator in the AOI industry, Mek's products are renowned for their accuracy, reliability, and efficiency. Sowa Electronics will be fully equipped and trained to support Mek Europe's entire product line and will work closely with customers to optimize their inspection processes.

"We believe that Karol’s extensive experience in soldering and inspection, combined with his commitment to customer service and support, make Sowa Electronics an ideal partner for us," said Henk Biemans, Managing Director of Mek Europe BV. " The partnership will enable us to expand our business in Poland and provide a more responsive service. We look forward to a long and successful relationship."

Karol Sowa stated that "I am passionate about providing customers with the best possible solutions and services and believe that this partnership will enable me to do just that. I am excited to be representing Mek in Poland and looking forward to a successful collaboration."

Catching a Cool Vibe in Del Mar

05/04/2023 | Barry Matties, I-Connect007
The Del Mar Electronics & Manufacturing Show in late April attracted a strong crowd, and for good reason. This show, which started in 1995 and attracts approximately 400 exhibitors, takes a refreshing approach: It’s at the local fairgrounds, so the vibe is cool, relaxed and easier on the pocketbook. Attendance hasn’t yet reached the highest pre-COVID levels, but show organizer Doug Bodenstab said registrations improved over last year.
