FOCUS: TECHNOLOGY
With over 130 exhibiting companies you will see the products and services that will help you achieve your current and future goals. Our exhibitors are dedicated to bringing you precisely the products and services you need to keep you competitive and up-to-date in today's marketplace.
FOCUS: EDUCATION
With over 100 technical papers and 20 short courses, all presented by today's leading researchers and technologists, SMTAI offers tremendous intellectual benefits.
Lead-free and Global RoHS continue to be an area of focus and importance to our industry. At SMTAI you will learn the most current regulations, and explore case studies. Look for special sessions on the agenda.
In addition to the paid programs, SMTAI offers a track of daily free events. Thermal management, substrate challenges, quality assurance, roadmapping, regulatory issues, and revenue based recycling are but some of the topics on the agenda.
Also, the SMTA Bookstore will be open, offering hundreds of books on highly specific technical topics. You can shop, share a cup of coffee, and maybe bump into an author or two. While there, pick up a raffle ticket for an iPod Nano.
FOCUS: CREDENTIALS
Many technologists have devoted years to the SMT practice. They've attended numerous training courses, studied the technical articles and texts. If this sounds like you, you may be happy to learn that SMTAI will be offering SMT Process Certification testing. Upon passing this testing, SMTA Certification is issued. This portable global credential provides proof of your knowledge, experience, and capability. Hundreds of engineers have earned the SMT Process credentials over the years, enhancing both their personal, and their company's, prospects for growth. Taught by Jim Hall, ITM Consulting, certification allows a company to guarantee their customers a qualified and experienced staff. A person's career can be very positively impacted by obtaining SMT Process Certification.
FOCUS: NETWORKING
SMTAI's Live Chat Rooms are a first for our industry. The SMTA has selected eight hot chat topics for real people to discuss, face to face, on the show floor. These no-charge networking sessions will be facilitated by industry experts and open to anyone who wants to sit in. This is a great opportunity for our attendees to listen, offer experiences and ideas, swap business cards, and build their personal network of helpful industry professionals.
FOCUS: FUTURE
Our Evolving Technologies Summit will focus on technologies that are currently evolving or emerging. This is an opportunity to learn what the future holds and how you can be prepared.
FOCUS: FUN
SMTA's Welcome Reception on October 9th will allow our user and supplier members to enjoy some great food (including the industry's first sushi bar!), and to relax after a day of hard work.As we approach our Orlando event, we invite the industry to sharpen its focus at SMTA International.
