May 13, 2010 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- The SMTA Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony at SMTA International (SMTAI), October 27, 2010, will feature SMT Corporation's VP Tom Sharpe as the keynote speaker.
He will provide a first-hand narration and a photo-documented tour of the counterfeiting and resale of electronic components in Shantou & Shenzhen, China. The presentation provides compelling and clear evidence showing this threat is far worse than previously imagined.
Tom Sharpe is the vice president of SMT Corporation, located in Sandy Hook, CT; http://www.smtcorp.com/. Sharpe co-founded SMT Corp. with his wife Kirsten in 1995 and they have since built SMT into one of the industry's leading independent stocking distributors of electronic components. In addition to being a long-time member of ERAI, Tom is the current VP of IDEA, where he has served continuously on the Board of Directors since it began in 2003.
