COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — SMT Stencil and tooling maker Photo Stencil expanded capacity and capability at their Malaysian manufacturing facility.
Requirements for rapid turn times and local support dictate multi-site manufacturing capability for stencil suppliers. To augment both capacity and manufacturing capability, Photo Stencil recently installed two laser cutting systems at its Malaysian facility. In the fourth quarter of 2009, a Tannlin T3 system was brought on line, and in March 2010 a new Tannlin T6 fiber laser was installed.

President and CEO L. Todd Woods commented, “Because the market requires a wide range in stencil materials, performance and pricing, it is incumbent upon us to be able to address all of these needs. Whether it is electroform, laser cut, or chem-etch, we have the capability and capacity to meet our customers’ demands.” Calvin Lim is the general manager of the Malaysian facility. Photo Stencil maintains manufacturing facilities in the United States, Mexico, and Malaysia.
