March 9, 2010 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
CHELMSFORD, ESSEX, U.K. — Bob Willis, a consultant who has been providing electronics assembly training over 20 years, will launch a new Website-based training service.
Bob Willis will offer monthly technical seminars lasting 90 mins with the opportunity to ask questions during or at the end of the session. The events will be scheduled on different manufacturing topics of interest to engineers and production staff working in printed circuit board assembly. They are also set at different times to accommodate global market.
Internet-based seminars represent an efficient way to develop practical knowledge, delivering expert advice and guidance when and where required. Internet delivery offers a low-cost and time-efficient training option. “I started training groups of production staff and made my first training video on de-soldering with Weller over 30 years ago. Now, with interactive training CD-ROM production activity with sales via IPC, SMTA, SMART and Dynamix Technology, online training is a logical step,” commented Willis noting that training online is flexible for small and large groups of staff and can be arranged quickly to solve specific production problem globally. The presentations are designed to avoid boring lectures, using a practical approach and Internet-ready video material, added Willis.
Company training seminars are provided in the same way as Willis’ regular monthly seminars but can be organize an event at a convenient time and day. These are normally split into two in-depth sessions each lasting 90mins with a question and answer sessions. Over 25 videos covering all aspects of printed board assembly will be available to view Online. The videos last between approx. 20–60mins and can be viewed 24/7. The video library will be available as a six-month subscription service.
