HAVERHILL, MA — Lightspeed Manufacturing has moved from its old factory in Methuen, Mass. to a new 60,000-sq-ft modern manufacturing facility at 135 Ward Hill Avenue in Haverhill, MA. Lightspeed is a contract manufacturer of printed circuit electronics assemblies that has experienced continued growth.
Lightspeed signed a long-term lease for a significant portion of the building, which it shares with another company. “This modern facility has everything we need, including a great location with proximity to the airports in Boston and Manchester, and we’re only steps away from Interstate 495. We’re planning to double our workforce in the near future,” said Lightspeed president Rich Breault.
Lightspeed is a flexible, full-service provider of a full range of contract electronics manufacturing services, including prototyping, PCB assembly, conformal coating, box build, supply chain management, and complete order fulfillment. Lightspeed makes parts for collision avoidance systems for luxury automobiles, technology for defusing and detonating roadside bombs, entertainment systems for commercial jets, and more, including several military contracts. Lightspeed is a member of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA), the IPC, and is ITAR registered and certified to ISO 9001:2008.
Lightspeed already has three installed lines of electronic circuit assembly equipment, and specialized cells for BGA services and other specialized manufacturing processes. "Everything is going to be fully automated," Breault says of plans for Lightspeed’s new Ward Hill industrial park headquarters.
