Honeywell Increases Price for Nylon 6 Resins
February 23, 2010 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Resins and Chemicals announced a price increase of 6 cents per pound over the current price of nylon 6 resins, effective with shipments March 1, 2010, or as contracts allow. This increase covers all fiber-grade and neat nylon polymer for spinning and compounding applications.
The company re-evaluated its pricing on specialty polymer nylon products because of the continuing run up of raw material costs.
Honeywell Resins & Chemicals, a part of Honeywell Specialty Materials, produces the nylon feedstock caprolactam, specialty polymers and other chemicals. Honeywell Specialty Materials provides high-performance specialty materials, including fluorine products; specialty films and additives; advanced fibers and composites; intermediates; specialty chemicals; electronic materials and chemicals; and technologies and materials for petroleum refining and petrochemical production.
