CHICAGO — PCB design, engineering, and manufacturing provider Electronic Interconnect (EI) will engage in a cooperative agreement with Flex Interconnect Technologies (FIT — Milpitas, CA) to jointly provide a wider range of PCB products. EI specializes primarily in rigid PCB types, while FIT provides design and manufacturing to final assembly of flexible circuits, rigid-flex, and HDI flex. Pratish Patel, EI President and CEO, said “This cooperation between EI and FIT offers a wider range of PCB technologies from our individual specializations. FIT is a recognized leader in flex and rigid-flex boards, and we specialize in rigid PCBs for leading-edge applications, such as products requiring thermal management and specialized materials and designs.” Patel added that the cooperation is facilitated by the similar philosophies of both companies, such as manufacturing from quickturn prototype up to production PCBs, serving military, automotive, communications, machinery, and equipments markets. The companies also provide design and engineering support services to the customer. FIT co-founder and CEO Chetan Shah added, “Our core competency as a solutions provider is to align early with the customers in product development and design phase. Industry expertise with flex technology and engineering applications is a key differentiator in optimizing DFM solutions for best cost of ownership for customers toward end applications in medical, defense, aerospace, and industrial sectors.” For more information, visit www.eiconnect.com and www.fit4flex.com
