EMI and Beyonics to Partner for High-volume EMS

SANTA ANA, CA — Express Manufacturing Inc. (EMI), a private U.S.-based electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider is working with Beyonics Technology Limited (Beyonics), which is listed on the Singapore Exchange as a major Asia-based electronics manufacturer, to develop business platforms to address high-volume production in Asia with new product introduction (NPI) and product development in the U.S. Beyonics is an integrated manufacturing services provider in Asia catering to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and original design manufacturers (ODMs) in various industries such as data storage and enterprise computing, consumer electronics, biomedical diagnostic and therapeutic devices, automotive components, communications and networking, and security surveillance applications. It has manufacturing facilities in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and China. Beyonics achieved revenue of more than $1 billion (U.S.) for the financial year ended July 31, 2009. EMI, with revenue of $80 million, has design, development, production, and warehousing capabilities in California and Dongguan, China. This business collaboration will bring together EMI’s production development technologies with experience in NPI and volume production with Beyonics’s multi-national EMS services. These include circuit board assembly, full turnkey system assembly, full box build, testing, packing and distribution, fabrication and manufacturing of plastic injection molds and parts, and precision metal stamping and tooling design. Both Beyonics and EMI are ISO 13485 certified for telecommunication and medical end markets. They also have systems in place for complete customer intellectual property (IP) protection. The collaboration is geared to compete with Tier 1 global EMS companies by linking NPI capabilities with a diverse manufacturing base and scaleable volumes.
