Adrian L. Melnyk Appointed Autosplice President
August 10, 2009 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
SAN DIEGO, CA Autosplice named Adrian L. Melnyk as president of the company's worldwide operations.
According to Irwin Zahn, chairman and founder of Autosplice, "Autosplice's future direction is focused on higher value-added products and technology platforms that we can support in all regions of the world, using Autosplice's global manufacturing footprint. Melnyk's background, experience, and leadership skills complement this future direction."
Melnyk added that Autosplice had grown in the past by providing custom solutions for pins and terminals, insertion equipment and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies. Its future growth is more dependent on the ability to provide engineered solutions to total customer needs where it can be a turnkey supplier, he asserted.
Adrian has almost 30 years of experience in the interconnect industry in engineering, operations and general management. Prior to joining Autosplice, he had been with FCI since 2000 and most recently served as the VP and GM of the Americas' Electronics Division. Previously, he spent twenty years with AMP/Tyco Electronics in various positions including director of high-speed products and director of global manufacturing for connector.
Melnyk holds an MBA from York College of Pennsylvania, a masters of science in manufacturing systems engineering from Lehigh University and a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
