New Year, New Headquarters

In 2009, several electronics manufacturers and supplier to the EMS industry will move into expanded facilities and relocated headquarters. Following are the announcements from Dynatech Technology, Adept Technology, KIC, and STI Electronics.
Dynatech Technology, the exclusive distributor of SMT assembly solutions by Samsung, is relocating its corporate headquarters, order processing, and logistic operations from Horsham, PA, to Edgewood NY. The change adds warehouse and office staff to handle increased business. Office and warehouse staff increased three-fold with the change. The Horsham office continues as a regional sales center. www.dynatechsmt.com.
Adept Technology Inc. moved to a new headquarters in Pleasanton, CA. The company cites better customer service, enhanced company operation, and improved accessibility and efficiency. www.adept.com.
KIC moved into a larger facility in San Diego, CA, housing the majority of its production, R&D, and administrative services. KIC also has built up R&D, sales, and customer support centers over the past several years in international locations such as Europe, China, and Singapore and has an R&D facility in Oregon. www.kicthermal.com.
STI Electronics Inc. relocated to a 54,000-sq.ft. upgraded facility in Madison, AL, adding to the training services department, sales and distribution division, and engineering services division. The facility will have a new SMT manufacturing line and added equipment in the analytical/failure analysis lab. The company doubled the size of its Class 1000 cleanroom and now includes conformal coating capabilities. STI has plans to implement additional equipment in the near future and continue to add capabilities and staff throughout 2009. www.solderingtech.com.
