Manncorp Debuts Benchtop Production Line
December 2, 2008 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
SAN DIEGO, Calif. and WILLOW GROVE, Pa. Geared for production and training applications, the "Starter Lab" turnkey line from Manncorp targets contractors and OEMs performing low-cost precision prototyping or low-volume SMT assembly. It also is used by technical schools and colleges as a teaching aid. The line includes three benchtop systems: a precision stencil printer, a computer-controlled pick-and-place unit and a lead-free reflow oven.
The benchtop production line is a comparatively priced option for companies considering used equipment, said Henry Mann, CEO. The line handles lead-free and fine-pitch requirements.
The placement system is the next-generation ECM-5611S with on-the-fly vision placement and available bottom vision for larger components such as BGAs and CSPs. It places a range of fine-pitch devices on a 10.6" × 5.9" placement area and holds 24 8-mm tape feeders. A computer with LCD monitor is included.
The SR2100 stencil printer offers precision screw alignment to boards, X/Y/theta adjusting knobs, and double-sided board processing. Frame capacity is 18" × 22" (47 × 570 mm).
The single-chamber 850 hot air convection reflow oven adjusts to lead-free processing temperatures to 260°C. Included are LCD preheat and reflow-phase time and temperature settings.
