From the Show: IPC Midwest Grows in Size and Cooperation
September 24, 2008 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. Not all tradeshows are bustling with activity. Sometimes a hurricane or a natural weather disruption can really wreck havoc on an event, but this year's IPC Midwest in the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center met with friendly skies and 80°F weather.
SMTA held process certification meetings during the IPC meeting in a cooperative effort between trade associations. The A-Line, sponsored by SMT, IPC, and multiple vendors is making take-home surface mount boards in a breezy professional way, regardless of the fact that this is the first live assembly operation at IPC Midwest.
The technical standards meetings and conference presentations are going along at an even keel. If you miss this year's IPC Midwest, you'll be missing an event with an attendance that was 1020% larger than last year. All in all, the second annual show is a professional conference, sailing along with professional attention to every detail.
