People of Electronics Assembly

Following are the new hires, promotions, and personnel announcements from industry suppliers and PCB assemblers, from FINETECH, Indium, and Krayden to Endicott Interconnect, Prototron Circuits, Canadian Circuits, and others.
Scott Kentner joined the FINETECH Manchester, N.H. team as applications engineer. Ketner will work closely with customers, focusing on new process development, application support, field service, and training for the company's advanced rework and precise die-attach equipment. He has served previously with the BESI die handling group. www.finetechusa.com.
Jamie Armitage, owner of Lazer-Tech, brought in industry veteran Ping Li as a manager of inside sales. She has been in the PCB industry more than ten years, holding a number of key positions with companies including Dynamic Details Canada and Data Circuits.
Inovaxe Corp. added Ron Wrable as director of sales, responsible for sales and channel management within the North Americas. Wrable brings to Inovaxe more than 25 years of experience in sales and sales management within the electronics industry, most recently as regional sales manager for Kyzen and CyberOptics Corp. Bob Douglas, president, cited Wrable's sales experience, professionalism, and ability to network with business partners. www.inovaxe.com.
Canadian Circuits Inc. added Tiffany Charles to their inside sales team. Charles will report to Pam Arya, sales manager and co-owner of Canadian Circuits. Arya cited Charles's energy and customer focus as reasons for the hire.
Indium Corporation promoted Andy Seager to the position of sales channel partner manager. Seager provides direction and support to Indium's network of sales channel partners in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with a focus on increasing sales of the company's solder products. He also works with the European sales team to support multinational customers. He joined the company's sales team in 1996 and has 19 years of experience working in both contract electronics manufacturing and distributor organizations. www.indium.com.
Krayden Inc. named David Ayala as sales representative covering the territories of Monterrey, San Luis Potosi, and Saltillo. Ayala was appointed by Kraydenmex, Krayden, Inc.'s Mexican identity. His educational background is in business, but he comes to Krayden from the electronics manufacturing industry, where he worked as a buyer. He has been at Kraydenmex for 8 months and is in training. Sergio Romero joined the company as industrial engineer, responsible for covering the El Paso, Chihuahua, Juarez, and Torreon territories. He brings 10 years of experience in the manufacturing world to the company. Before joining Krayden, he worked as a manufacturing engineer where he was in charge of the various electronics manufacturing lines. Felicia Williams, EIEndicott Interconnect Technologies Inc. (EI) appointed Felicia Williams as VP of human resources (HR), leading EI's human resource programs, including evaluating and determining needs and opportunities, assessing the effectiveness of existing structures and programs, and determining strategic goals and implementation plans. Williams has more than 20 years experience in human resources administration and management. For the past 15 years, she has held a variety of leadership roles within the human resource organization of Arrow Electronics Inc., most recently as VP of HR for North American global components. Williams holds a bachelor's of business administration degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, and is green-belt certified. www.endicottinterconnect.com.
CIMTEK expanded its management team, naming Alex Bonham as its first director of professional services. Bonham will manage CIMTEK's growing professional services group, focused on helping manufacturers leverage rich and relevant information gathered at product and functional test to make better decisions throughout the product lifecycle. Bonham and his team will work with customers in automotive, avionics, medical and consumer electronics to analyze those vulnerabilities and identify areas for quality improvements. Bonham brings more than 15 years of experience in designing both hardware and software solutions for product and functional test. Prior to joining CIMTEK, Bonham was with Andigilog, where he spearheaded vertical market expansion and the development of the company's thermal management test product line. He has also held test development and engineering positions at Myriad Systems Group, Cottonwood Technology Group, and National Instruments. www.cimtek.com.
Petroferm Inc. added Kamta Gupta to its Asia-Pacific sales team as regional sales manager South Asia. Gupta will manage sales to Petroferm's expanding electronics, aerospace, medical device, and precision metal customer base in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. www.petroferm.com.
Jacket Micro Devices Inc. (JMD) announced that Rick Clancy became VP of operations, responsible for quality management and process and supplier qualification. He joined JMD in April 2007 and was previously director of operations. Clancy has over 14 years of manufacturing engineering and supply chain management experience at Ford Motor Company, Honeywell/Allied Signal, STATS, and Conexant. He received his bachelor's and master's in ceramic engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. www.jacketmicro.com.
ERSA named Ernie Grice as VP of sales for their North American operations. He will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing of all product areas including screen and stencil printers, reflow, wave and selective soldering machines, rework, BGA inspection, and hand tools. Grice has worked for ERSA for 6 years and has 20 years experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. www.ersa.com.
