Webinar Targets Controlled Medical Device Manufacturing
June 16, 2008 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
CHARLOTTE, N.C. Camstar Systems Inc. will host a free Webinar for medical device manufacturers on June 26. The webinar will discuss how manufacturers can extend their SAP ERP and manufacturing applications into the plant floor with Camstar's packaged composite solution, built specifically for medical device manufacturers, leveraging SAP manufacturing integration and intelligence (MII) and Camstar's "Enterprise Manufacturing and Quality Platform."
Speakers include Jim Sabogal, VP, Industry Business Unit Life Sciences, SAP; Hussain Mooraj, research director, AMR Research; and Karim Lokas, VP of product strategy and marketing, Camstar.
Camstar and SAP collaborate, targeting seamless business process interoperability to support the rigorous requirements of the medical device industry.
"Medical device manufacturers are facing increasing product complexity, tighter delivery schedules, along with constant pressure to raise productivity, improve quality, and achieve regulatory compliance," said Lokas. "To achieve operational excellence, these manufacturers must focus on proactively improving quality to deliver safe, compliant products on time, the first time, every time; and creating leaner operations to reduce inventory and manufacturing cycle times."
Global visibility and control over manufacturing operations are required to enforce best practices and reduce variability, and to understand the root causes of deviations that lead to quality issues.
