SMTA, Koh Young Present on Solder Paste Measurement

BOSTON The SMTA Boston Chapter will host a technical presentation, titled "Advanced Solder Paste Measurement Techniques and Equipment" and live demonstrations on Koh Young solder paste measurement equipment, July 8th at Textron Defense Systems in Wilmington, Mass.
The presentation and equipment demonstration will provide an overview of solder paste measurement techniques and equipment currently used at SMT manufacturing facilities. Speakers Marion Zubrick and Dave Murphy also will discuss the importance of solder paste measurement and inspection, as well as the differences between multiple techniques. They will review the tradeoffs and benefits of each techniques, and the cost to manufacturers who do not inspect solder paste.
Marion Zubrick, a Native of New England and current resident of Huntsville, Ala., has over 30 years of experience in the electronics industry. For the last 15 years, Zubrick has worked in an applications engineering capacity, focusing on inspection and test of high-density PCBAs. He's worked for Teradyne and Landrex, and is currently a senior applications expert at Christopher Associates.
Dave Murphy, VP of sales for WJ Murphy Associates Inc., has over 27 years experience on the supply side as a manufacturers representative and distributor, servicing the PCB assembly and bare fab industries. Murphy holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Boston College. He has represented Christopher Associates in the New England area for most of those 27 years, and specializes in the Koh Young product line.
