June 3, 2008 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. Universal Instruments introduced the newest platform in the Advantis pick-and-place series, AdVantisX, to the Asia market, for customers interested in low-cost, repeatable performance.
AdVantisX suits the mid-tier assembly sector. It features Universal's proprietary linear motor positioning system. The AdVantisX lineup includes single- and dual-gantry high-speed models using Lightning Head technology. AdVantisX also delivers several multifunction configurations utilizing the new Inline7 and Inline4 High Force flexible heads.
"We see huge potential for AdVantisX in Asia as the manufacturers here are more cost-sensitive," said Jean Luc Pelissier, CEO and president of Universal Instruments.
