VJ Electronix Hosts Open House, SMTA Forum

LITTLETON, Mass. VJ Electronix will open its doors for an open house, coinciding with a technical presentation on advancements in BGA rework and X-ray inspection. The event is scheduled for 5:30 to 9 PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2008.
The meeting will focus on topics related to BGA rework and X-ray inspection, including automating the site dressing process, 0201/01005 rework, application challenges (sockets, mezzanine connectors, corner glue), vertex programmable inspection, and computerized tomography (CT).
Mark Walz, product manager, Summit Rework Systems, will speak. Walz is the founder of Training & Tooling Associates, a company specializing in productivity enhancing tools for Rework. Prior to forming Training & Tooling in 2001, Mark was rework product manager for SRT and GenRad, where he was involved in the early efforts of the iNEMI lead-free process evaluation.
Frank Cosentino, special systems and business development, VJ Electronix Inc. also will present. With 25 years of experience, focused on advanced process development and volume process characterization and implementation, Cosentino currently is responsible for activities in X-ray and reflow applications.
As part of the meeting, VJ Electronix will provide demonstrations on its PMT, Versa Scavenger, Summit 1800 (for 0201), and Vertex A and Vertex CT systems. A plant tour will introduce visitors to the products, staff, and applications development.
