PROMATION Intros High-volume Gate
March 4, 2008 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. PROMATION released an enhanced Passageway Gate system, the SCBL-77G, designed for high-volume production. The SCBL-77G offers a small footprint with a vertical buffering station to enable continuous production with the gate in use.
The station is 1500-mm long and offers a continuous pathway for PCBs to flow. When the gate is requested to be open, the 15-slot vertical buffer is enabled to accept PCBs from the line and allow the operator through the line.
The vertical buffer has 15 stacked edge belts each at 30-mm standard spacing. The spacing is selectable in every slot, every other, every third, and every forth slot. This station can operate in either last-in/first-out (LIFO) or first-in/first-out (FIFO) modes, in addition to the lift-gate function.
The station's touch panel can provide language support for either English or Chinese.
