WIN Highlights Automation
February 12, 2008 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
ISTANBUL The World of Industry (WIN) Electrotech exhibition will take place February 28 through March 2 in Istanbul. WIN Electrotech 2008 is a tradeshow centered on high-growth automation, electro-technology, and hydraulic and pneumatic sectors. Exhibitors will highlight equipment and consumables via regional distributors.
KIC's distributor 3s-Technologies will exhibit the company's thermal profilers and monitors. KIC Explorer features a compact design that allows the small unit to move through restrictive and harsh process dimensions. It incorporates SMT technology and high-temperature-rated components. Modern applications introduce an array of thermal process complexities whereby more thermal profile data is needed. As a standard feature, the KIC Explorer has 12 thermocouples to meet all requirements. The ingenious miniature-TC harness design makes this possible, and it is less expensive than using a standard Type-K thermocouple. The KIC Explorer provides a high sampling rate, and greater memory capacity and data precision. Thermal profile data are transferred to the user's computer via USB. The distributor also will display KIC 24/7 Process Monitoring, which provides automatic profiling of every product, around-the-clock monitoring, SPC charting, analysis, documentation, and production traceability. The real-time process data enables engineers and managers to make cost containment and quality control decisions, according to the company. The KIC 24/7 automatically charts all critical process specs: peak temperature, soak time, time above liquidous (TAL), etc. The data is plotted on real-time control charts and process capability (Cpk) is calculated for each specification. The overall process window index (PWI) is charted. Any process drift outside of control limits or defined Cpk value will immediately trigger and document an alarm. 3s-Technologies will exhibit in Hall 7 Booth B-180. DEK will showcase its manufacturing solutions through partners Esman. Esman will demonstrate a range of technologies from the Horizon 03i print platform to the comprehensive VectorGuard stencil system, along with consumables. The Horizon 03i print platform provides rapid setup and changeover capabilities, according to the company. It suits prototyping and first article build at full production yield levels. The VectorGuard stencil system uses an automatic tensioning system and is available in a variety of foil technologies. DEK's consumables cover specialist cleaning products, wipes, swabs, squeegees, replacement parts, and storage solutions. The Esman team, DEK's regional distributors, will be in Hall 7, Booth D120.
