Advisory Board Update: Evelyn Baldwin
SHANGHAI, China - SMT Editorial Advisory Board member Evelyn Baldwin, 3M EMMD Materials and Assembly, has spent the past two years living with her husband and two children in Shanghai, and shares reflections on the experience. Travel is a constant, as business trips carry her across Asia, and family outings have covered Beijing, Xian, Sanya, and the Yangtze River. Integration is occurring on many levels, with Mandarin cooking classes, a week working with a Chinese family in a rice paddy, or international school for the kids, but Evelyn notes that they are still “Wai Guo Ren,” or foreign people. The family looks forward to more traveling and experience of the Asian continent during their time as “Expats.” As well as managing sales for 3M, Evelyn has been an SMTA member since 1988, and has 20 years of experience in electronics. Baldwin has served the Advisory Board since 2005.
