Advisory Board Update: Hwang Joins U.S. Export Council

WASHINGTON The U.S. Secretary of Commerce appointed Jennie Hwang, Ph.D., SMT Editorial Advisory Board member, to a four-year term with the U.S. Department of Commerce's District Export Council.
Hwang will serve on the council from January 2008 to December 2011. The primary goal of the council is to promote U.S. export and international trade. It is designed to help build a strong national economy for the U.S.
Jennie S. Hwang, Ph.D., was elected to the National Academy of Engineering, inducted into the WIT International Hall of Fame, and named an R&D Stars-to-Watch. Hwang holds a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering, and two M.S. degrees in chemistry and liquid crystals.
