Cimnet Upgrades PCB-specific Software
January 7, 2008 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
INDIANAPOLIS Cimnet Systems, a Consona business unit, released new versions of three PCB-specific engineering and business software products: Paradigm v.3.5, iQuote v.3.2, and Engenix v.2.2.
Paradigm 3.5 is Cimnet's core enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Upgrades include system flexibility enhancements for currency exchange rate management, bills of materials (BOMs), inventory, and shop-floor management. The specialized, end-to-end, integrated software platform for PCB manufacturers supports North America-based companies facing more complex designs and international competition, according to Cimnet. The upgrades help companies implement business process outsourcing (BPO) for part or all of engineering needs.
Intellegent, Web-based quote-automation tool, iQuote 3.2, incorporates PCB panelizer, material search, and pricing module updates. These were requested and partially designed by Cimnet's customers.
Engenix 2.2, Cimnet's pre-production engineering application, includes the ability to automatically engineer the PCB stack up, based on impedance constraints. This upgrade resulted from high-priority customer requests as well, notes Cimnet representatives.
