Valor, Digitaltest Partner
December 19, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
YAVNE, Israel Valor Computerized Systems Ltd. and Germany-based Digitaltest GmbH partnered to integrate their respective design-for-test and process engineering products for improved new product introduction (NPI), assembly, and test. Digitaltest's C-LINK will work with Valor's vPlan software on a common data model.
C-LINK coordinates design with test and production requirements. It is said to reduce time to market and costs, and improve production quality and profitability. vPlan process engineering software is designed to synchronize the engineering process from computer-aided design (CAD) input to manufacturing machines for SMT, thru-hole, and manual assembly.
Integrating Digitaltest's and Valor's process control solutions creates a comprehensive, coordinated manufacturing process definition (MPD) on the electronics assembly floor, using lean dataflow and automatically generated machine-specific libraries, according to the companies.
