Plastic Logic Adds FAS Extrusion Coating
December 4, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
AUSTIN, Texas Plastic electronics assembler Plastic Logic Limited ordered an FAS Advantage IV extrusion coater line through NexTech Solutions. The automated coating line will be integrated for manufacturing flexible organic active-matrix displays.
The Advantage IV uses a proprietary FASCoat technology, a high-performance extrusion coating method used in the development of flat panel displays (FPDs). FAS Advantage Coaters are sold as an integrated solution in a full-track system or as a stand-alone solution for R&D applications.
Plastic Logic conducted multiple trials with the line and compared it with other industry offerings prior to selecting the Advantage IC, said Tony Di Napoli, president, NexTech Solutions.
