Novatec Debuts Benchtop Shape-memory Tooling
December 3, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
MONTAUBAN, France Novatec released a tabletop configuration of its VacuNest shape-memory tooling, designed to fixture any type of final assembly devices and enclosures quickly and flexibly.
The Table Top VacuNest targets convenient shape profiling, fast changeover, and gentle handling on a 330- × 330-mm working area. It is said to eliminate point-force pressures and provide secure and cushioned support. The benchtop modules are pliable, antistatic chambers with foam former surrounded by polymer granules. The chamber profiles a piece's shape within 30 sec. and will retain that profile indefinitely under vacuum.
