TFI Releases December Forum Agenda

ALAMEDA, Calif. Technology Forecasters Inc. will hold its Quarterly Forum in San Jose, Calif., December 56, 2007. The event includes presentations on Eastern/Central Europe's EMS climate, green electronics, DfX as a growth tool, and other topics.
Sanmina SCI and Oracle/Agile Software will host discussion groups, meals, and other networking opportunities at the Forum as event and corporate sponsors. "Outsourcing Trends in Eastern and Central Europe," presented by Charles Wade, senior consultant, combines quantitative analysis, interviews, and facility tours from European electronics manufacturers and partners. "What OEMs Want from Their Supply Chain," led by Bruce Rayner, director of consulting and research at TFI, will release survey results on OEM's satisfaction levels with contract manufacturers (CMs) and electronics distributors.
"Reconsidering DfX as a Growth Strategy," put on by Timothy Sturgeon, senior research affiliate, MIT, covers a research survey performed to help executives decide on what type of supplier connectivity to better support their products and business. "A Wall Street Perspective on the State of the Supply Chain," presented by Matthew Sheerin, managing director of electronics supply chain, Thomas Weisel and Partners, defines outsourcing, distribution, and supply-base companies, as well as operational metrics and roles in the supply chain. In "The Zero Waste Imperative," Pamela Gordon, president of TFI, talks with guests about zero waste where electronics producers create no new landfill waste and the profitability and positive business this strategy can help create.
