Suppliers Ready for Mexitrónica

GUADALAJARA, Mexico As Mexico reemerges as a lower-labor-cost region close to home for U.S. companies outsourcing electronics assembly, Mexitrónica, October 2325 in Guadalajara, promises to attract international EMS providers and OEMs investigating available equipment and consumables, and checking out opportunities in the local industry.
RMD Instruments LLC will exhibit its LeadTracer-RoHS XRF system with sample-preparation stand at Booth 500. The system, developed with Sia Afshari, product manager at the company, targets mixed assembly, high reliability, and lead-free assembly situations that require composition verification of components, devices, and PCBs. The next-generation system includes an ergonomically designed stand with "quick disconnect" grip for portable or benchtop operation. www.rmd-leadtracer.com.
Essemtec plans to highlight several SMT production systems at the show. In distributor Torenko & Associates' booth, Essemtec will display its SP003MLV semi-automatic stencil printer, CSM7100V flexible pick-and-place system, Expert-SAFP with UP3100 universal prototyping station, RO06PLUS drawer-type batch reflow oven for prototyping and low-volume manufacturing. www.essemtec-usa.com.
Dynatech Technology, Samsung's SMT Assembly Solutions distributor, will debut the SM411 and SM421 pick-and-place systems, based on the company's SM400-series Smart platform.
