Aegis Moves Euro Headquarters, Adds Director
September 28, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
HIGH WYCOMBE, U.K. Aegis Software (Europe) Ltd. appointed Daniel Walls as managing director for Europe. The company also moved its European headquarters to a facility near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, U.K. The headquarters includes a larger training facility and improved communications equipment.
The expansion for training allows Aegis to host more local European electronics assemblers for product evaluation and training, said Jason Spera, CEO. A video-conferencing system and single global IP phone system enhance call control, intra-office and customer communications, and access for remote personnel, according to the company.
Walls, who has served with the company since 1997, first joined Aegis as controller and chief financial officer (CFO), at its North America base. As regional sales manager, he helped establish Aegis' West Coast operations in Irvine, Calif., and its services division. The Buckinghamshire headquarters, under Walls, will serve the important manufacturing sector in Europe, notes Spera, adding that it will allow Aegis to address customer service and quality for this region.
