SMTAI Releases Show Agenda

ORLANDO, Fla. The SMTA will follow a motto of "Focus" for SMTA International 2007 (SMTAI), October 711 in Orlando. The organization boasts special sessions on lead-free/RoHS, SMTA certification testing, open networking events on the show floor, and other programs for attendees.
More than 130 companies will exhibit at the show. For debut products and highlighted systems, see SMT's Product Preview. A welcome reception on October 9 is open to suppliers and customers, with a sushi bar and networking opportunities.
The conference at SMTAI will host more than 100 technical papers and 20 short courses taught by researchers and technologists. Current environmental regulations, substrate challenges, quality assurance (QA), and other topics are on the agenda for registered and open-attendance events. SMT will host an open-attendance panel on thermal management, Tuesday October 9 at 10:00am, featuring Sherman Ikemoto of Flomerics; Jordan Ross and Karthik Vijayamadhavan of Indium Corporation of America; Alan Rae, Ph.D., of NanoDynamics; and Brian Toleno, Ph.D., of Henkel Technologies. Jim Hall of ITM Consulting will host SMTA certification testing for SMT process certification at SMTAI. Outside of exhibits, panels, and technical sessions, the SMTA Bookstore will be open throughout the show, offering coffee and the SMTA's technical books on a range of SMT-related topics.
