Don't Miss SMT's RoHS Lead-free Manufacturing Webinar
December 31, 1969 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
As more electronics manufacturing firms move into lead-free assembly, practical issues play an ever-growing role in determining how well RoHS compliance can become second nature to those in control. To help manufacturers hone their skills in meeting RoHS regulations, while still maintaining a productive, profitable transition, SMT will host its "RoHS Lead-free Electronics Manufacturing" Webinar on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. EST.
Join presenters Ursula Marquez de Tino, process and research engineer of the SMT lab at UIC; Chrys Shea, R&D applications engineering manager for Cookson Electronics Assembly Materials; and Brian Toleno, Ph.D., TS&D manager, the electronics group of Henkel, for information on the basics of RoHS. The Webinar will test how well attendees know lead-free assembly technology from materials issues, to reflow, to cleaning, and test. It offers effective solutions for specific questions, giving the audience a chance to pose real-world scenarios. What are the facts about lead-free? What processes and materials work what ones don't? What are the latest materials available and how do they work? What controls must be in place? Don't miss this great educational opportunity.
