Test-and-Inspection Collaboration Enhances Portability
August 21, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
RICHARDSON, Texas and SANTA CLARA, Calif. ASSET InterTech Inc. and Agilent Technologies Inc. extended a long-term sales, marketing, and licensing agreement, installing ASSET's ScanWorks JTAG systems into Agilent's 3070, Medalist i5000, and i3070 in-circuit test (ICT) equipment. This pact will reportedly reduce test costs and allow increased test migration at electronic equipment manufacturers and contract manufacturers (CMs).
ScanWorks is integrated as the preferred JTAG solution in these Agilent systems, expanding test reuse, said N.K. Chari, marketing manager, ICT systems, Agilent. Tests migrate from design-for-prototype debug to high-volume manufacturing and into field support and product repair, added Glenn Woppman, president and CEO, ASSET. Under the extended agreement, ASSET remains Agilent's preferred boundary-scan supplier and intellectual property (IP) provider. Agilent will continue providing global support for ScanWorks on its equipment.
