Arrow Offers China Supply Chain Advice
August 15, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
MELVILLE, N.Y. William E. Mitchell, chairman, president, and CEO, Arrow Electronics, Inc., released the company's internal quality control (QC) guidance for electronics manufacturers looking to lessen risk in China. Arrow operates more than 20 sites in China.
Mitchell's 10 steps for mitigating supply-chain concerns in China include performing background checks, site inspections, and performance reviews. Other advice involves warnings against China-based suppliers without franchised relationships to distribution partners, and against any that will not provide product guarantees or obtain internationally recognized certifications. For the complete "10 Steps" list, contact John Hourigan, director, external communications, Arrow.
