Rigid-flex Order Tops $770,000
April 25, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
PETACH-TIKVA, Israel A U.S. industrial manufacturer placed a follow-on order, valued at $750,000, for Eltek Ltd. rigid-flex PCBs. The rigid-flex boards will be used to produce advanced industrial equipment.
Eltek plans to supply the order in Q'02 and Q'03 2007. This represents the largest order from the U.S. customer since the companies entered a framework agreement in mid-2006, said Arieh Reichart, president and CEO of Eltek. A long-term engagement with quarterly follow-on orders increases Eltek's penetration in the higher-margin U.S. flex-rigid PCB market, he added, following its corporate roadmap.
The supplier-managed inventory program agreement states that Eltek ships PCBs to a U.S. hub near the customer under frequent scheduling agreements. Sales are recognized when the PCBs ship to the customer.
